Investment Promotion Division

The IP division operates as the marketing communication leg of the NIC, responsible for actively seeking to bring investment opportunities to the attention of potential domestic and foreign investors.                                                                                                                                                     
This division is also responsible for managing investment promotion representatives known as Commercial Counsellors in key strategic locations around the world. Currently, NIC has representative in the following locations: Germany (Berlin), India (New Delhi),South Africa (Pretoria), Angola (Luanda), Ethiopia (Addis Ababa),Belgium (Brussels), Switzerland (Geneva), France (Paris), USA (Washington), China (Beijing), Brazil (Brasilia), United Kingdom (London), France (Paris) and United Arab Emirates (Dubai).

Investor Services and Aftercare Division

This division is responsible for offering services that required in establishing business in Namibia, such as application for visa, work permits, assistance with search and identification of land/premises as well as monitoring and evaluation of investments. Furthermore the division is also responsible for aftercare services, which entails activities from post-establishment facilitation through to developmental support to retain investment

Projects and Incentives Division

The Projects and Incentives Division is responsible with conducting research on potential economic opportunities and the competitive investment environment, profiling and appraisal of investment projects, management of investment incentives, as well as providing advisory and support services on investment projects and incentives.

Furthermore, the division is facilitates application and issuance of the Status Investment Certificate in accordance with the Foreign Investment Act, Act No. 24 of 1993.
